Thank you Keith Call

I always enjoy visiting Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. I am a Lewis fan and outside of Oxford, England the next best place to go for C.S. Lewis stuff is Wheaton College. Thank you Keith Call, an old friend, and assistant archivist at Wheaton College for showing us around and letting us check out some really cool stuff. Enjoy a few pictures from the Wheaton College visit.

Christina and our friend Jenni enjoyed playing in the rain on our visit at Wheaton College.

Keith Call, assistant archivist, and me in the Archives Dept. in the Library at Wheaton College

Wheaton College has Oswald Sanders' (1874-1917) Bible which was interleaved with blank pages for notes...much like Jonathan Edward's Bible which is housed at Princeton University.

I got to play around with one of the spears from the Huaorani Tribe from Ecuador, they were once known as the Aucas, this was the tribe that killed Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, and three other missionaries. This was not one of the spears used in the killings, but is dated to that time period.

Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan, one of the most significant works of English Literature. Wheaton College houses a copy of Pilgrim's Progress with the cover made of wood from the church that John Bunyan attended.

Christina and me standing in a very neat hallway in the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College.

Christina standing next to C.S. Lewis's Wardrobe at the Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College. This wardrobe stood in Lewis's boyhood home.

C.S. Lewis's desk, the Marion E. Wade Center also houses Lewis's pipe, pen, pewter mug, tea mug, teapot, Lewis's Oxford University M.A. Gown, and also boast a large collection of Lewis's personal library

The lamp post out front of the Marion E. Wade Center was on during the day, there are a few matching lamp post across the street, but only this one was left on. Could it be to signify the lamp post from the Chronicles of Narnia? We think so :)
